Wild Words! Festival of Reading 2023
The Library of Innerpeffray has been championing reading since 1680, and in 2023 will be celebrating the joy of the written word at our third Festival of Reading from the 7th-10th September. The Library’s founder wanted his books to be kept ‘for the benefit of all’ when he created Scotland’s first free lending library here. Our theme this year is “Wild Words” and will feature dramatic tales of Jacobite uprisings, writing inspired by the wild nature of Scotland, celebrations of poetry both local and national and even a chance for adults and children alike to let their imaginations run wild in our creative workshops.
