Poems of Perthshire – Kenneth Steven
Sat 10th September, 12.30pm
A presentation of some of the best-known poems by Kenneth Steven, who grew up here in Highland Perthshire: a celebration of the wildscape of this heart of Scotland, with the stories of how many of the poems came to be. Set in the storytelling circle on the heritage trail in the grounds of Innerpeffray, come in suitable footwear. In case of bad weather, the event will be held in the schoolroom.
Kenneth grew up in Highland Perthshire – he spent a good number of years living with his parents in Crieff where he was a pupil at Morrison’s Academy. He began writing early (partly thanks to writing parents), and it was the wildscape of Highland Scotland that particularly fired his pen. He is now widely published as a Scottish poet, novelist and children’s author and has written and presented numerous programmes for BBC Radio.
Venue: Heritage Trail, Innerpeffray. Tickets £10. Book here.
