From handloom weaving to deafening jute mills, from carved stones to the printing press and from tiny boats to Arctic voyages, innovation and tradition have gone hand in hand for centuries. Join storyteller Erin Farley for tales from Tayside and beyond, inspired by new ways of work and living with the land over centuries.

Erin Farley is a local historian and storyteller based in Dundee, where she works at Dundee Libraries’ Local History Centre. She shares local folk tales, historical stories and poetry with groups of all ages through storytelling sessions, walks and workshops, and loves to include a touch of devilry and the supernatural. Erin is also a committee member and regular performer at the Orkney Storytelling Festival. Her first book, Angus Folk Tales, was published by the History Press in November 2021.
