Lost Country Houses of Perthshire – David & Ian Robertson
Perthshire has long been graced with fine mansion houses. However, the last century has seen more than 50 of these demolished, burnt down or simply abandoned. This talk will look back at the history of some of these lost country houses and of the families who lived in them. It will be illustrated with a fine selection of old picture postcards, photographs and paintings.
Authors of the acclaimed Lost Gardens and Lost Country Houses of Perthshire series of books, David and Ian will take you on a trip back in time to the former glory of Strathearn and beyond.
Refreshments served after the talk for a chance to chat informally with the authors. Talk held in the Schoolroom.
