FOIL Picnic – Inside Outlander

Wed 11th August 7pm

After sixteen months FOIL events are back!  In a new departure for FOIL we ask you to bring your own picnic (we will provide tea and coffee) and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Innerpeffray. Experienced guide, Joe Harrower, will mingle informally, providing interesting facts, telling tales of historical happenings linked to Innerpeffray and answering questions about the area and its connections with the TV series based on Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander. The evening will provide an opportunity for FOIL members and their guests to meet in a relaxed and safe setting.  Arrangements will be in place should there be inclement weather. In line with present restrictions numbers are limited and advance booking is essential.

Tickets £10, Patrons and FOIL members £5 and can be booked through the Innerpeffray website – www.innerpeffraylibrary.co.uk

Joe Harrower – EYES ON SCOTLAND www.eyes-on-scotland.com

Joe has always had a keen interest and hobby in promoting Scotland to visitors. He decided to turn his interest into a profession and was pleased to be accepted onto the Scottish Tourist Guide Association’s course at his Alma Mater, Edinburgh University, which provides its successful graduates with a complete coverage of Scotland.

Joe Harrower: “It would be my pleasure to take you on a journey through the country I love.”

Joe gets great joy from guiding in Scotland, showing visitors the best assets our country has. The story of the Library, its books and the inspiration it provides will prove an educational and entertaining experience for FOIL members and their visitors. We are delighted and grateful that Joe has given of his time and experience to join us at Innerpeffray.
